HVAC Service Technician

Carrier Controls &/or Johnson Controls Experience is a big plus!


3+ years Commercial HVAC Experience, service, install & maintenance


Must be able to perform compressor change outs, motor change outs, trouble shooting of package units, split systems and heat pumps.


Must be able to explain VFD's, wire a thermostat, relay, contractor, and other components during an interview quiz.


Must be EPA certified


NATE certification is a plus

Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to provide electronic service reports.

Read and write in English


Must have a clean DMV record


Must be able to lift 50+ pounds

HVAC Service Technician

Experienced Project Manager for HVAC Building Automation and Mechanical retrofit projects ranging from LA to Palm Springs Area.


Supervise Retrofit Projects


Estimate Time and Materials


Prepare time-lines and budgets for a project.


Negotiate and prepare purchase orders for equipment and materials.


Negotiate and prepare sub-contracts.

Submit RFIs for the project and negotiate Change Requests.


Release equipment and materials in timely manner and coordinate deliveries.


Supervise field installation & ensure timely installation to meet the project schedule.



Track all costs to meet the budget.


Review, negotiate and resolve conflicts with vendors, sub contractors, general contractor & design team.


Coordinate testing and commissioning activities.


Prepare and submit project close out documents and ensure successful completion of the project.


Maintain project documentation through out the duration of the project.


Qualifications & Requirements



Control all costs of assigned jobs, assuring the successful completion of the projects.


Establish required documentation for the successful tracking of projects, including submittals, schedules, schedule of values, billings, RFI's (requests for information, requests for change orders, change orders, project start-up and close out (including timely processing of the O&M and "as-built" packages). Work with the superintendent regarding specific requirements related to manpower requirements of projects you are handling.

5 years of HVAC building automation and mechanical related retrofit and installation experience with tenant improvement and major construction buildings. Background should include HVAC construction projects, Mechanical & plumbing, electrical, piping & sheet metal, design coordination & project management. Very good verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Detail oriented.
